"Who We Were"
2005
|
Dave Ramsey ran the machine shop for the IUP College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Because of administrative details (?) at the time he was hired, he was hired technically as a physics professor. He was an important contributor to the functioning of the Department of Biology for 38 years. He was the person who created any type of apparatus that was needed by any professor in the entire College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in his machine shop. Dave retired from IUP on June 10, 2005 and died August 1, 2005. He is missed greatly, but he is remembered fondly.
(Update: the .ram audio file linked no longer works, unless you have special software.) To hear a recording of the voice message he left on his home answering machine, click on the photo above (RealAudio format = .ram). (The voice message was sent to me by his daughter Sherry and is provided here with her permission.)
